Blended learning has long been regarded as a pedagogical model, but it often faces structural limitations in everyday university life: time constraints, limited resources, and increasing demands make it difficult to produce digital teaching materials on a sustainable basis. The “AI for All” project addresses this challenge with a transfer-oriented open education approach (OER) to teach AI skills at universities in an accessible way. Two complete e-learning courses have been made available as OER—modularized, metadata-referenced, and specifically prepared for reuse.
This article demonstrates how these materials are used in various contexts: for example, in data literacy courses, participatory teaching experiments, and career services offerings. The presentation discusses how interdisciplinary design and open licenses for teaching materials can strengthen cross-institutional collaboration.

About the University:Future Festival (U:FF):
The sixth edition of the University:Future Festival took place from June 22–24, 2026, under the theme “Under Pressure”! The in-person locations for the hybrid festival were Berlin, Braunschweig, Essen, Graz, Hamburg, and Nuremberg. The University:Future Festival (U:FF) is the largest event dedicated to the (digital) future of higher education. Topics include AI, future skills, pedagogy, and strategic processes.
Participants enjoyed a diverse program featuring approximately 280 presentations by around 550 speakers! The University:Future Festival is a collaboration between the Hochschulforum Digitalisierung, the Stiftung Innovation in der Hochschullehre, and the Stifterverband. The partner stages were organized by the Emerging Tech Lab and the Media Lab of the Projekthaus at TU Braunschweig, by ORCA.nrw, Graz University of Technology, Ohm University, and UTN Nuremberg, as well as the University of Hamburg in collaboration with OERCamp.
