Identifying novel anti-cancer agents using Deep Transfer Learning approaches
Brightfield microscopy Images of tumor cells undergoing different modes of cell death were classified using deep transfer learning (DTL)1. This DTL training network will be combined with high-throughput pharmacological screening approaches using the Incucyte live cell imaging system microscope to identify novel anti-cancer therapeutics. Using images to identify novel modulators of cell death has the potential to significantly accelerate the experimental approach for anti-cancer testing in a cost-effective and rapid manner.
