Research Networking
At HHU, researchers from numerous disciplines are conducting research on artificial intelligence and data science. HeiCAD serves as a platform for this research: We highlight who is working on AI at the university, bring researchers together across departmental boundaries, and foster academic exchange.
At the annual HeiCAD Retreat, participants present their current projects, forging new connections and identifying common research questions. Early-career researchers meet experienced colleagues, and different academic cultures engage in dialogue. Networks and partnerships extend this exchange beyond HHU. In this way, a vibrant interdisciplinary AI community grows, giving rise to new research ideas and collaborations.
HeiCAD Retreat
Once a year, HeiCAD hosts a full-day event focused on AI and data science at the Haus der Universität Düsseldorf. Researchers and students from all disciplines and career stages come together across faculties to engage in discussion through lectures, interactive poster sessions, and plenty of opportunities for networking.
The next retreat will take place on May 21, 2027. Mark your calendars – it’s well worth it!
